Sylvi is a passionate writer and director who has been writing movies and stage plays since she was 18.  Sylvi has also directed stage theatre, and her experience with live performance is obvious in Latin Dance Alive.

Sylvi has an innate belief in the beauty of the individual and in the story they can tell, and this comes through in all of her work.

Sylvi has written, directed and produced several short films, including "Behind the Mask",  and "Awaken the Dawn". Currently under production is the animated short "Charlie".

This expertise is evident in Sylvi's direction of Latin Dance Alive, which has an impressive professionalism and quality.

Sylvi has been nominated for an Antenna award in 2008 for Best Director for her work on Latin Dance Alive. 

 The Crew would also like to nominate Sylvi for the Antenna Award for "best catering" for Aunty Sylvi's Kitchen - especially her legendary corn cakes and Tofu!
